poor and the law??? Can you ellaborate more on the question??

The only reply I can think of is; if your famous, you have a better chance of getting off free be it; reputation or fine expensive lawyers...

like anything about the law and how it effects the poor section of the society and how they've benefited from it... like i can find only criticisms because wherever u go u see that the law basically does nothing for the poverty-stricken citizens... its like the law is backing the rich ppl in exploiting them..."law grinds the poor and rich men rule the law" - Goldsmith

Rich people generally break the law as a result of their greed. Poor people generally break the law as a result of their need. While it's by no means universal... a lot of good people do seemingly bad things because they perceive no other way.

This falls outside the realm of addiction, and other factors of human behavior that lead people to crime. Though it could be argued that addiction in and of itself is largely the result of feelings of alienation and oppression. Self medication is a means of coping with lifes insurmountable obstacles... many of which are derived from poverty.

Poor people are the users that get busted buying a teener, while the dealers sit on their stacks of cash, and can pay big name lawyers if they happen to cross an honest law enforcement officer. Poor people rely on public defenders, who are anything but effective overall.

Poor people will steal to put food on the table, keep the lights on, buy shoes for their kids or any one of a number of things that money "can" buy. Rich people will hoard their wealth, poor people can't get to any of it by honest means, because the rich must stay rich, and that can't happen if the poor don't stay poor.

Poor people are stigmatized because they are financially impotent. They can't lobby for change because they don't have the financial backing that large corportations do. Poor people can't get into positions of authority, because the rich elitists that are in the pockets of corporate American already have the support of the financially viable portion of society.

Military contracts utilize the efforts of the poor to make the rich richer. Religious organizations aren't "blessed" unless they're ornate and profitable, and poor congregations aren't as valuable because they can't fill the collection plate fast enough.

Poor people are subjected to the laws of the land because they can't afford to abide by them, can't afford to circumvent them, can't afford to change them, and ultimately can't afford to wait for them to be changed by people who have little to no interest in making laws more acclimated to serving the poor, which constitute the vast majority of the population at large. Poverty is the means in which the majority remains subject to the minority. Two percent of the people have roughly ninety eight percent of the wealth, they have the tools at their disposal, and for a small wage, they let poor people use them.
